The 2026 Edinburgh Cup and UK Dragon Grand Prix completed two more races in the Solent with stronger winds and some new faces at the front of the fleet.
One that needs no introduction is Bluebottle, GBR192 of Graham and Julia Bailey which took a 1 and 6 in the second two races on Wednesday for a total of 15 points, and opened a thirteen point overall lead after four races.
Now in second with 28 pts is Miss Behavoir, SWE 800 of Jan Secher with an 8 and 2 for 28 pts, and up into third is Jupiter, POR 89 of Andrew Lawson posting a 2 and 10 on 32 pts.
Best score of the day was Provezza Dragon TUR 12 of Andy Beadsworth with a 5 and 1 to climb from sixtenth into fifth with 37 pts. While Vesper – GER 1189 of Dominik Heeschen dropped from third to ninth after a 20 and 15.
In the Corinthian fleet, overall Denis Bergin sailing IRL 161 Sir Ossis of the River is clear leader with 60 pts and 12th in the overall fleet.
Second is Dried Van Den Abeele on Corsao BEL 79 with 63 pts, and third Jaguar Sailing Team IRL 202, Martine Byrne with 67 pts.
Racing for the Edinburgh Cup and UK Grand Prix continues until Friday 21 August, with eight races scheduled. The forecast for day three suggests another windy day.
