ILCA 7 World Championship – Ryan Lo extends his lead

Ryan Lo SGP extended his lead on the second day of the ILCA 7 Worlds Final Series, after discarding a 24 and adding a 3 to his scoreline for 37 pts after nine races.

Lo now has a 13 point advantage over Britain’s Micky Beckett (-11, 10) who moves into second overall with 51 pts. Jonatán Vadnai HUN (17, 7) remains in third with 51 pts, and Elliot Hanson GBR (DSQ, 6) is fourth with 65 pts.

Nicholas Halliday HKG (3, 9) climbs to fifth, Finley Dickinson GBR (-22, 19) is now sixth, and Matt Wearn AUS (5, 28) recovers to seventh despite the 28 score.

Early event leader Fynn Lynch of Ireland, has suffered a run of double-digit scores in the final series races and a 32 and a 43 discard drop him to 13th, outside the final medal series qualifiers.

There is another day of final series racing before the top ten compete in the Medal Series on Sunday.
