Charlotte Rose of the USA regains the lead after three races Thursday got the ILCA 6 Women’s World Championship back on schedule on Dublin Bay.
Rose added a 4, 1, and discarded a 23 to take a 13 point lead ahead of Emma Plasschaert of Belgium in second, and Anna Munch of Denmark in third.
Maxime Jonker of The Netherlands had the best score of the day, a 5, 6, 2, lifting her in 4th with 40 points. Greta Pilkington of New Zealand is back in the top ten in 5th with 53 pts, and also recovering well was Ireland’s Eve McMahon counting a 2, 2 and discarding a 31 to move into 7th overall.
Difficult day for the Brits, Hannah Snellgrove and Matilda Nicholls are now 9th and 10th, but Daisy Collingridge moved into 13th and has one more day to break into the top ten for the medal race series.
When looking at the total points bear in mind that when the top ten move into the Final (medal) series of two races Saturday, their score will be halved – their adjusted score.
