Day 2 of OK Dinghy Europeans – Still no clear favourite

Two more races at the 2026 OK Dinghy European Championships in Bruinisse in difficult conditions.

With four races now completed Nick Craig (GBR) sits at the top of the overall standings, one point clear of Pim van Vugt (NED) with Thomas Hansson-Mild (SWE) third.

The first race of the day started as scheduled in the more southerly winds. Pim van Vugt led the way around the course, with Thomas Hansson-Mild clearly enjoying the slightly windier conditions and close behind and Nick Craig completing the top three.

The second race got underway just as the rain arrived. It initially looked as though a match race would develop between Nick Craig and Pim van Vugt.

However, a capsize for van Vugt at the end of the first lap gave Craig some breathing space, finishing comfortably in first. He was followed across the finish line by again Hansson-Mild in second, and Baabii’O Flower (CAN 26) in third.
