With the event running out of time, the start of the 2026 5.5 Metre World Championship postponed again Tuesday because of high wind.
There are three days left and four races are required for a valid series. Three races are scheduled for Wednesday. Hopefully it will be third time lucky.
The forecast for Wednesday is for slightly less wind, and decreasing through to Friday 9 October.
On Tuesday evening, the Swiss and French fleet provided a superb dock party with raclette and crepes cooked on the quay and enjoyed by most of the fleet.
