Britain’s Christian Hamilton (Khumbu Racing) has won the Bermuda Gold Cup final at his first attempt.
Earlier, after winning his semi-final, Hamilton presented a relaxed face to the forthcoming Final . . . “I’m just going to have a beer, relax, chill out and enjoy the fact that we’ve got to the final,” he said. “I’m going to relax into tomorrow and hopefully do the same again.”
And to it again he did.
Facing Chris Poole USA (Riptide Racing) the 2026 Tour overall leader in the best of five Final round, Hamilton took the opening advantage with a win in the first match, only to loose the next two.
But unfazed, just as he had in his semi-final, he recovered to win the final two matches and take a stunning 3-2 overall victory.
