470 World Championship – Xammer and Cardona lead after day 2

Spain’s defending champions Jordi Xammer and Marta Cardona lead after completion of the qualifying races at the 2026 470 World Championship in Enoshima, Japan.

Xammer and Cardona (1, 5) lead by three points from Malte Winkel and Bente Batzing (1, 2) of Germany, with third Manon Pennaneac’h and Pierre Williot (7, -19) of France.

Overnight leaders Yves Mermod and Maja Siegenthaler (-20, 16) of Switzerland finished the day in 9th.

Britain’s Martin Wrigley and Bettine Harris (12, 12) finished the day in 12th on 30 pts. Hannah Bristow and James Taylor (3, 16) are 16th with 34 pts.

The 74 strong fleet now splits to gold and silver fleets for the final series from 14–16 August, before the medal series races on the 17 August.
