Britain’s Martin Wrigley and Bettine Harris extend their lead at the 470 World Championship in Enoshima, Japan.
Wrigley and Harris added another race win on the second day of gold fleet racing (1, 12, 8) to take an eight point lead ahead of Jordi Xammer and Marta Cardona of Spain (10, -16, 6) who move into second place.
Third are Tetsuya Isozaki and Yurie Seki of Japan (-38, 24, 2) who were BFD in the first race, with 49 pts.
Theresa Loffler and Christopher Hoerr of Germany (9, -17, 1) are now fourth with 51 pts and fifth are Afrodite Zegers De Kline (4, 6, 11) and George Kavvas of Greece on 55 pts. A good day for Hannah Bristow and James Taylor (3, 2, 13) of Britain who climb into sixth with 57 pts.
Roy Levy and Ariel Gal of Israel won the second race of the day and are 14th with 91 pts.
Two races are scheduled for the Medal Series, with the the top ten boats from the gold fleet qualifying. Scores will be adjusted as NOR 12.4 prior to the first medal race, IE a boat’s total score in the Opening Series, after any discard, will be adjusted and then carried forward into the Medal Series.
