The last event of the RS400 Trident UK Northern Tour was held with 5 teams still in the running to become overall winners. Day 1 came with a building breeze, sunshine and 19 boats all keen to get going.

The 47th Rolex Middle Sea Race started from Grand Harbour on Saturday 17 October, with 107 yachts setting out on the 606-nautical mile course around Sicily. Ten of those boats flew the colours of the Royal Malta Yacht Club.
