After yesterday’s washout, today more than made up for it. Conditions in Medemblik were close to perfect, champagne sailing as some of the sailors called it, even if the breeze stayed shifty and gusty through the day.

Ramsgate Week Queen Elizabeth II Cup day
The committee boat set up off Sandwich bay for another light wind day but now with very little tide. The IRC classes did two short windward- leeward courses for the QEII Cup, the only trophy the late Queen ever presented for yacht racing.

470 and 420 Junior Europeans day 4
Action at the 420 & 470 Junior Europeans in Nida, Lithuania, is coming to an important stage. The sailors have two more fleet races tomorrow, while on Monday the top 10 teams will compete in the Medal Series and the rest of the fleet in the Last Race.

International 14 Youth Programme
2027 will be a special year for the 14 class as it’s the 100th anniversary of the first Prince Of Wales Cup. The anniversary POW Cup race will take place as part of a European Championships at Itchenor Sailing Club.
