From first sail to the helm: the women building confidence on the water at North Sails Cowes Week

It was a blustery sail for the Scoles Trophy, held at Overy Staithe SC. Race Officers Camilla Warner and Simon Wilson-Stephens set the fleet off from a start line on the sea wall for both races, and the fleet enjoyed planing conditions in the lagoon.

The fun is about to start – officials at Townsville Yacht Club (TYC) are putting the final touches to SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week (SMIRW) as boats are already arriving.

Tuesday 11th August saw 20 visiting sailors arrive at the club to compete. Clubs represented were Bala, Budworth, Elton, Nantwich, Port Dinorwic, Scammonden, Shotwick, Shropshire SC, Winsford Flash, as well as Llyn Brenig.
