Scammonden Water Sailing Club is inviting the local community to discover the excitement of sailing and life on the water at its Open Day on Saturday 16 May 2026, from 11am to 3pm.

The forecast all week before the event was predicting racing on Sunday would be marginal and with conditions more like mid-February. That did not deter the 27 Solo sailors who had some very close racing in what turned out to be champagne conditions.
