Larks at Rock

Goakes Trophy at Overy Staithe
A cold northerly greeted the 17 boats competing in the two races for the Goakes Trophy. There was also the rare occurrence of a general recall in the first race and general mumblings from the race committee that we might have to get a black flag board.

2026 Squib Gold Cup at Burnham-on-Crouch
As the 18 Squibs gathered for the briefing of the Haymans of London sponsored 2026 Squib Gold Cup hosted at the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, the wind was light and patchy and very sensibly the Race Officer decided to postpone a few hours.

The GP14 O’Tiarnaigh Challenge held at Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club in Cultra on the 25th and 26th April provided an excellent opportunity for the class to get used to the waters in which the World Championship will be held this coming August.

Royal Prince Edward YC Classic Yacht Regatta
The option to race under IRC proved a real drawcard for competitors in the inaugural Classic Yacht Regatta hosted by the Royal Prince Edward Yacht Club (RPEYC) in April on Sydney Harbour, with 27 of the 63 classic yachts racing under IRC Standard rating.
