Seventeen 2000s took part in the final round of the West Country Boat Repairs Millennium Series at Stone SC on Sept 27th/28th. Stone SC are the most welcoming and friendly hosts, all of which combined to produce a memorable event.

Once again, the sun shone for this year’s Starcross Tera & Topper Open on Saturday 13th September. With 37 boats (24 Teras and 13 Toppers), there was close and competitive racing and it was great to welcome over 20 visitors.

Hayling Island welcomed the Fireballs and 505 fleets for an Autumn Open this past weekend. The 505s are resurgent in the UK with a strong and growing local fleet.

Sunnier than hoped for, drier than expected and windier than any forecast, it was a good day to go sailing. Blithfield Sailing Club welcomed eighteen Merlins to the one day HD Sails Midland Circuit, Craftinsure Silver Tiller and Classic Series open.

Spirit of Downunder has a strong pedigree in ocean racing which skipper Rick Whitehouse will be keen to take advantage of when he races his Cameron Delange designed and built 12 metre yacht across Bass Strait.

Day 2 of the Hobie 16 North American championships continued to challenge sailors. The winds on day two were stronger but very shifty. North winds (offshore), created 45 degree shifts with wind speed varying from 5 to 15 knots.

The 2025 Craftinsure Wayfarer National Circuit had its penultimate round in the form of the Inland Championship hosted by Northampton Sailing Club on Pitsford Reservoir.
