The 3rd North Region Youth & Junior Championships was held at Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club (DRSC) over the weekend of 20 & 21 June 2026 organised by North East & Yorkshire Youth Sailing Association (NEYYSA).

Preparations are under way at Porto Santo Stefano for the 25th edition of the Argentario Sailing Week – Miramis Trophy, among the most anticipated international events dedicated to classic and vintage yachting.

A formidable team were crowned in the 505 KZN Provincials, James Largier and Richard Hutton-Squire from Cape Town were in a class of their own, dominating the three-day regatta hosted by Point Yacht Club.

Weymouth Sailing Club hosted a strong fleet of 18 Larks all keen to test their speed and skills on the open sea before the Lark National Championships coming up in late-July. Sponsored by Craftinsure, the fleet also included five local youth teams.

The Lymington Dinghy Regatta, hosted jointly by the Lymington Town SC and the Royal Lymington YC took place on the 20/21 June, proudly supported by local company Harken UK.

Local hero Ole Schweckendiek took the lead in the ILCA 7 class on Monday (June 22) at Kieler Woche. With a bullet in the only race of the day, he pushed the winner of the second group, Attilio Borio of Italy, down to second place.

Often described as the equivalent of eight Sydney to Hobart or Fastnet Yacht Races back-to-back, it is widely regarded as the most challenging ocean race starting in Australian waters, sailed by only two crew, non-stop and unassisted.
