The Cramond Boat Club Summer Dinghy Regatta, incorporating the Scottish Open Wanderer Championship, took place on the weekend of 13th – 14th June.

It was a day of two halves for Emirates GBR on Race Day 1 of the Canada Sail Grand Prix as “wacky conditions” played havoc in Halifax. After a review of the weather forecast, SailGP opted for split fleet racing with the 13 teams split between two groups.

The Black Foils have made a successful return to SailGP action after four months away on a tricky weather day in Halifax.

Australia and Sweden lead the fleet after a shifty opening day of the Canada Sail Grand Prix, putting down early markers on Halifax Harbour. Several races were abandoned or sailed on shortened courses.

All the signs were for a blast and the Race Committee split the fleet, put on the 24 Metre Wing and the heavy weather boards and rudders. As it turned-out most of the racing was non-foiling, even with the crew reduced to four, and one race was abandoned and rerun to get just two races…

With the magnificent 71ft Sangermani ketch Eugenia V finishing at 04:59:10 this morning, all the classics bringing up the rear of the maxi fleet in the Loro Piana Giraglia’s offshore race have finally arrived in Genoa.

The 73rd Loro Piana Giraglia closed in Genoa with a story worthy of one of the Mediterranean’s great classic races.
