Day four dawned with aching bodies from day three and a glassy bay. The boat park was still full of stories from the races the day before, with more ups and downs than UTMB.

As part of the Dalgety Bay Regatta, the D-Zero Class held their Scottish Championships and ten boats entered for a mixed forecast for the set of six races across the weekend; some entrants having travelled from south of the border to mix things up a bit!

Under the expert guidance of Class Chair and longstanding Itchenor Sailing Club member Piers Shepherd, acting as PRO, the GBR 420 fleet enjoyed a superb opening day of racing.

The Northern Tera sailors arrived on the 27th of September for a weekend of open training at Bassenthwaite Sailing Club. 13 eager sailors attended the weekend with stand in coach and Northern Class Rep John Reekie.

On Sunday 21st September 2025 the highlight of the year for the Comet Duos happened at Cransley SC, and whilst only a select eight were present we did have ‘international’ travellers (Andy and Amanda from Eyott and UpRiver) to swell the starting line up.

The impossibly beautiful classic yacht fleet sailing from Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez continue to dazzle, and Ingrid Abery was again out on the water to catch the best of the action.

On and off the water, September 27, 2025, is not a date Georgia Clancy will easily forget.

The sunshine and the wind were in perfect harmony on Wednesday afternoon in the Gulf of St Tropez. At 2 pm all the Modern and Tradition fleets got some racing under their belts, revelling in their respective coastal courses.

After endless weeks of windy conditions and cancelled racing the September open offered up something more benign, with warm sunny days and light fickle N/NE winds.
