Bribon and Momo II Are 2025 International Six Metre World Championship winners

In a week that has seen considerable disquiet from the world’s top Olympic sailors about scoring systems that could be used at the Los Angeles 2028 Games, it’s interesting to see this fast-growing foiling class also try something new.

Doug DeVos and the American Magic Quantum Racing team lifted their seventh season championship title today in Sardinia, Italy at the conclusion of the 52 SUPER SERIES Porto Cervo Range Rover Sailing Week.

The 52 Super Series – Porto Cervo – Range Rover Sailing Week ended with a 6-point victory for Takashi Okura’s American boat Sled, with Italian Checco Bruni as tactician, ahead of Tina and Hasso Plattner’s Phoenix, which had Tom Slingsby as tactician.

Three races for both divisions on the penultimate day of the 2025 Six Metre World Championships at the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club, produced some great competition and a new race winner.

After a frustrating, but beautiful day bobbing around in an unstable and light wind on day 1, day 2 dawned with the promise of sunshine and 9-11 knots all day. Mount’s Bay didn’t disappoint, with the race team getting four cracking races in.
