May 15 marks four months until the first starting gun of the West Coast’s most anticipated annual regatta, Rolex Big Boat Series, scheduled for September 16-20, 2026, on San Francisco Bay.

Today at 1:00 PM local time (11:00 AM UTC), the Class40 fleet of the 2nd edition of the CIC MED CHANNEL RACE set off for a 1000-mile race in the western Mediterranean between Marseille, Corsica, Sardinia, and the Balearic Islands.

The Northern Series moved to the North East for its second stop at Tynemouth Sailing Club, where 16 boats – including 11 travelling boats (helped out by 3 home crews) – gathered for a weekend of close Enterprise racing on the sea.

Today, at 1200 CEST [1000 UTC], Francesca took the start of the 1000 Race – her very first solo race on an IMOCA.

The stage is set for a thrilling finale at the 61st Congressional Cup as the final four teams were confirmed today on the penultimate day of racing in Long Beach, CA.

The race started with some bright sunshine in Cowes but only a light breeze but as the yachts moved down the Solent the breeze dropped and the skies grew grey.

Saturday morning dawned and optimistic 300 sailors descended on Rutland Water hoping for some wind. The thermostat had been turned up to comfortable levels and glorious sunshine meant it really felt like summer for a change.
