Michael Zankel of Portugal, sailing with Diogo Pereira and João Matos Rosa, is the third day leader of the Dragon Class 2026 European Championship.
With the discard in play, Zankel was able to drop the 13th from race 5 and then took second behind Albin Boman of Sweden in race 6, taking him to a eight point overall lead from Jan Woortman, Michael Koch and Marcel Vockel of Germany.
In third place is GBR 192 Bluebottle of Graham Bailey, Julia Julia and Will Bedford, who recovered with a win in race 5, but then had to discard a 27th in the next. They have 26 pts.
Andy Beadsworth of TUR 12 Provezza Dragon holds fourth with 32 pts, after a 19 discard and an 8th.
