Fleet of over 800 yachts set off from Cowes for the 2026 Round the Island Race

A fleet of over 800 yachts set off Saturday morning from Cowes for the 2026 Round the Island Race, with the first start at 7am for a fantastic day on the water.

The first finisher – the Volvo Open 70 Pace of Johnny Vincent – of the Round the Island Race 2026 crossed the finish line at 12:48:42 in an elapsed time of 05:48:42.

Second to finish was Tony Langley’s  TP52 Gladiator at 13:07:20 in an elapsed time of 06:07:20.
