2026 RORC Round Britain and Ireland Race – Pace Overall Winner Under IRC

Johnny Vincent’s Volvo 70 Pace has been declared the overall winner under IRC for the 2026 RORC Round Britain and Ireland Race.

With no remaining competitor able to better Pace’s IRC corrected time, the result gives Vincent and his crew the race’s top prize, adding overall victory to Monohull Line Honours.

Pace crossed the Royal Yacht Squadron finish line in Cowes at 04:17:31 BST on Sunday 16 August. Her elapsed time for the 1,805-nautical-mile course was 6 days, 14 hours, 47 minutes and 31 seconds.

Pace Crew: Johnny Vincent, Al Fraser, Anthony Haines, Antonio Cuervas-Mons, Ed Myers, Jim Carroll, Jules Salter, Luke Molloy, Mark Bartlett, Neal McDonald, Pete Cumming, Stu Bannatyne, Tom McWilliam and Trystan Seal.

Boats remain at sea and racing continues around Britain and Ireland so the announcement is provisional.

The Royal Ocean Racing Club congratulates Pace while recognising the determination and seamanship of every crew still battling towards the finish in Cowes.

With two boats expected on Wednesday evening and nine more predicted during Thursday 20 August, it could soon be rush hour at the RORC Clubhouse in Cowes.

Jetpack, Fujitsu British Soldier, Espresso Martini Too, Mojo, Ronin and Astrid were among the boats projected to finish on Friday 21 August. Zanzibar and Xantho were expected during Saturday 22 August, with Polished Manx 2 and Snifix Dry forecast to finish on Sunday 23 August.

The final two boats remained much farther north. Quailo III had 672 miles to sail, while AJ Wanderlust, the last boat yet to round Muckle Flugga and Out Stack, was 887 miles from Cowes.
