Jamie Harris and Ellen Main gave it their best shot, even winning the final race, but the weeks gold-plated leaders Ian Martin and Emma Hivey were not for turning, the title was theirs.
Martin and Hivey started the day with a six point lead, stretched it to an event winning advantage with a fourth in the penultimate race, while Harris and Main posted a tenth . . . And then completed it with a discard ninth place in the final race, able to ignore Harris and Main’s final race win to complete an outstanding championship week.
The podium was completed by Harris and Main (10, 1) in second, and Ben Whaley and Isobel Stewart (2, 14) third.
Winners of the first race of the final day were Owen Bowerman and Lorna Glen (1, 3) ahead of Whaley and Stewart (2, -14).
Winner of the final race were Harris and Main (10, 1) ahead of Matt Venables and Bethan Matthew (8, 2).
The Noble Marine RS200 UK Nationals were hosted by Royal Torbay YC.
