An intense second day of racing at Univela Campione del Garda delivered three further races and an increasingly close battle at the top of the overall standings.
Greek sailors Konstantinos Trigonis and Konstantinos Kazantzis remain at the top of the provisional overall standings after six races.
Trigonis and Kazantzis added a first place, an eighth, their discarded, and a second place to their earlier scores. They end the day on 12 points.
Fellow Greeks Nikolaos Mavros and Polydoros Parianos have moved decisively into second place with 16 pts. Swiss crew Jean-Marc Cuanillon and Michael Gloor remain third overall on 19 points.
Reigning World Champions, Germany’s Markus and Nikolas Betz have now slipped to ninth overall.
The event in its 51st edition, will continue at Univela Campione del Garda until 5 September. A total of twelve races are scheduled.
