The event is set for Saturday’s iQFOiL U23 World Championships Medal Series, when the top ten men and women will return to the water for their medal series, comprising Quarter, Semi Final and four board Final.
In the men, Federico Alan Pilloni (ITA) completes the Qualification Series in first place, with Leonardo Tomasini (ITA) second and will both advance directly to the Grand Final.
Britain’s Duncan Monaghan finished in third to go through to the medal series Semi Final. The top two ranked then join the two seeded boards in the Final and the Final will continue until one board collects two match points.
Similarly in the women, Aimee Bright (NZL) remains at the top of the standings and will be seeded with Maya Gysler (NOR) into the Final.
The sixth to tenth overall ranked boards race in the Quarter Final, then the top two race with the fifth, fourth and third overall ranked boards in the Semi Final. The top two ranked then join the two seeded boards in the Final and the Final will continue until one board collects two match points.
