The Seventh Annual Noosa Gaff Rig Regatta will take place on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June 2026, on the beautiful Noosa River at the Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club. In some states, the event coincides with the King’s Birthday long weekend.

More than 40 US sailors will take to the water in Palma de Mallorca, including Olympians, time-tested pairings, and some new debuts from US teams and athletes for the 55th Trofeo Princesa Sofìa Regatta.

Who knew what metrological events would challenge this regatta – we soon found out, a severe lack of wind and what little wind there was, was arriving from all points of the compass. Sunstroke was also a possibility.

Around 900 boats and more than 1,100 sailors from 62 countries will compete until 4 April on the Bay of Palma for the first round of the 2026 Sailing Grand Slam.

A total of 16 Canadian sailors will take part in the 2026 Princess Sofia Trophy Regatta in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, March 30 to April 4.
