Saturday September 12th saw the penultimate event of the HD Sails Scottish traveller series at Loch Tummel SC jointly with the Solos. The forecast was uninspiring to say the least with rain and a wind forecast to be 18mph gusting 30!

A diverse fleet of 30 catamarans gathered at Weston SC for two days of racing at the annual Weston SC Catamaran Open Meeting, enjoying a range of conditions and a full schedule of racing.

The second X-Yachts X40E ever launched was splashed at ORAM’s boatyard, Auckland NZ in August this year. The Auckland based owner is an avid sailor and ORAM’s were contracted to commission the yacht following her being shipped from Denmark.

The first day of racing at the 23rd Rolex Swan Cup began early on Wednesday morning as the quays in front of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda came alive with the bustling crews of the 170 yachts gathered in Porto Cervo.

Racing will start later this month on a new Tuesday and Thursday evening Sprint Racing series, run by three clubs, and involving five one-design keelboat classes, aimed at keeping local mid-week racing affordable, accessible, fun and vibrant.

Sail Expo 2026 will bring together an expanded showcase of yachts, marine brands, equipment and services when it returns to the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club (RPAYC), Newport, on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October.

After a long wait ashore, the wind finally arrived on the second day of racing at the Master Cup in Portorož. The fleet spent around two hours waiting for conditions to settle before a westerly breeze of approximately 5-6 knots filled in.
