There are yacht races where the destination is little more than the backdrop. Then there is the Bosphorus Cup. As the event celebrates 25 years, sailors will arrive in Istanbul for three days of competition centred on a city shaped by the sea.

As the fleet of 17 IMOCAs gathered together for the Runs Azimut close to Lorient, the wind gradually filled in offshore of the island of Groix, where the battle for the fastest time was in full swing.

The 2026 East Coast Dragon Championship delivered two days of close and competitive racing on the River Medway, with the full six-race series run by Medway Yacht Club over the weekend of 12-13 September.
