Trimpley Sailing Club’s hosted their ILCA open meeting on 5th September with reasonable forecast wind and sunshine they were assured of a great day racing.

More than 150 boats on the water, between 15,000 and 20,000 people gathered along the 1.5-kilometer Concarneau coastline, a giant mural on the sand, sailors of all generations and backgrounds…

The Flying Fifteen Classic & Silver Fleets convened in the picturesque setting of Llangorse Lake in the Brecon Beacons National Park for their 2026 National Championship over the weekend of September 12th-13th.

Saturday 12th of September saw Emberton Park SC host the first round of the 26/27 Noble Marine Supernova Travellers series. Seven visitors joined the Emberton sailors to field a sixteen strong fleet of Supernovas!

Thursday evening of 27th August 2026 saw the last of Tamesis Club’s Thursday evening races. The club runs two handicap trophies every Thursday evening through May and June, for the Saga Trophy, and July and August for the GW Smith Trophy.

Canberra Airport claimed back-to-back wins in the first two heats of Manly 16ft Skiff Club’s short course pointscore series on Saturday, making a bold statement of intent.

A stiff 20 knots from the SW meant that only four Redwing crews went afloat to race on Saturday, and there were no One-Design takers.

The penultimate round of the HD Sails sponsored Solo Scottish Area Series was held at the very beautiful Loch Tummel Sailing Club on Saturday 12th September and attracted 10 entrants.

A credit to the determination of the club and its members and all the loyal followers of the race and our sponsors that this juggernaut of a sailing event is back up and trucking.

The third event in the Rooster sponsored ILCA South Regional Youth series was hosted by Island Barn Reservoir Sailing Club (IBRSC) on 12th September alongside the IBRSC ILCA Open and Thames Valley ILCA Grand Prix Series.
