The Offshore Racing Congress (ORC) is pleased to announce that the Submissions to its Annual Meeting held from October 31st to November 4th, 2026 are now available to view or download.

Royal Ocean Racing Club proven winners, ocean racing multihulls and ambitious Corinthian campaigns are already committed to the 13th edition of the RORC Transatlantic Race from Lanzarote to Antigua.

Club members were joined by representatives from our affiliate organisations, happily including our resident Sea Cadet unit for the first time, and visitors from near and surprisingly far.

Saturday’s forecast was for a moderate breeze with gusts of 30mph, great conditions for an open aspect club like Shotwick. The wind was strong in the morning accompanied by rain, two races were scheduled for the afternoon.

It took patience, four postponed starting sequences and a long wait for the breeze, but Day 4 of the 2026 Melges 24 World Championship ended with a good late-afternoon race on Little Traverse Bay.

The overnight leader board is very tight, with the New Zealand teams in 3rd and 6th places and all to sail for in the remaining two days of the second Preliminary Regatta in Naples.

Following days of sunshine and light sea breezes in the Bay of Naples, an overnight Atlantic front brought cooler, unstable air with rain and thunderstorms across central and southern Italy, delaying the start of racing for spectators in the Race Village.
